Run Management Configuration

You can configure the Simulation Data Inspector to:

Append New Runs

You can specify whether to add new runs in the Signal Browser table at the top or bottom of the run list. To open the Run Configuration dialog box, click the Run Configuration button.

In the Run Configuration dialog box, the default is set to add new runs to the bottom of the run list.

To append new runs at the top of the list, click Add new runs at top.

Specify a Run Naming Rule

To specify run naming rules, in the Simulation Data Inspector toolbar, click the Run Configuration button. In the Run Configuration dialog box, the default value for the Run naming rule is Run <run_index> : <model_name>.

To change the run name, enter available tokens from the list and any other regular characters. For example, to include all four tokens, enter the following in the Run naming rule box:

Run <run_index> : <model_name> : <time_stamp> : <sim_mode>

For model slexAircraftExample, the run name appears as follows:

Run 1 : slexAircraftExample : 17-Dec-2012 12:35:52 : normal

Note:   If you are overwriting a run, the name of the previous run is used, not the Run naming rule specification. However, if the <time_stamp> token was used in the previous run, the value of this token updates with the new time.

Overwrite a Run

Overwrite the simulation data for a run in the next recorded simulation.

  1. In the Signal Browser table, click the run name you want to overwrite.

  2. Click the Overwrite Run button.

The Overwrite Run icon appears on the run to be overwritten.

  3. In the Simulink Editor, click the Record button on.

  4. Simulate the model.

The data for the selected run is replaced with the new simulation run.
