Events - Seminars

MATLAB & Simulink for C/C++ Programmers

Seminar Overview

Join us for this complimentary, half-day seminar and learn how you and your colleagues can speed up your C or C++ development process by using the following:

  • Algorithm development and application deployment features of MATLAB (Session one)
  • Rapid Design and Implementation of Embedded Applications Using MATLAB® and Simulink® (Session two)

Attendance for the session of interest to you can be decided on the day based on an introductory presentation capturing the two.

Session one:

Learn how you can use MathWorks tools to help design, implement, and verify your algorithms. MathWorks engineers will deliver an introduction to the capabilities of MATLAB, which provides a high-level language and development tools that let you quickly develop and analyze your algorithms and applications. You will also learn how you can use MATLAB to augment your existing C or C++ algorithms by:

  • Integrating MATLAB and C/C++
  • Creating re-usable MATLAB software modules as shared libraries for C/C++
  • Verifying your code
  • Developing and deploying complete standalone applications with MATLAB

Session two:
You will have an opportunity to gain knowledge on how to use The MathWorks tools to generate C, C++ and HDL code. The generated code is compact and fast; an essential requirement for embedded systems, on-target rapid prototyping boards, microprocessors used in mass production, and real-time simulators. Some of the topics covered on the day are as follows:

  • Convert MATLAB and Simulink based models into C and C++ Code
  • Model elaboration for optimized code generation
  • Targeting multiple environments such as DSPs, MCUs and FPGAs
