Together with the Communications System Toolbox™, this support package allows users to connect to USRP™ radio hardware from MATLAB and Simulink, enabling rapid design exploration and verification of communications systems with “radio-in-the-loop” capability. Using System objects in MATLAB or blocks in Simulink, a user can configure parameters such as center frequency, gain, and interpolation or decimation rates. The user can transmit signals from MATLAB or Simulink by streaming data to USRP devices via the gigabit ethernet interface. Similarly, the user can receive over-the-air signals from a USRP device and process the streaming data using MATLAB System objects or Simulink blocks. The package supports Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms. MATLAB and Simulink support for USRP™ devices has been tested on N210 and USRP2™ devices with WBX, TVRX, TVRX2, LFRX, LFTX, XCVR2450, DBSRX, and DBSRX2 daughterboards. Support may also extend to other UHD-based radios and daughterboards from Ettus Research. |
