I am writing to a textbox a character string that is 5000 characters long. I want to position the last entry in the textbox so that I can see the last entries in the string that is written into the textbox. Other words, I want to scroll the textbox so that the last characters added are always visible.
I want to use a textbox and not a listbox for this.

Is there a reason you can't dynamically grab the size of the character string and then display only the last 40 (or however many) characters you want?
