Description

The RT-CON software enables you to develop real-time applications directly from Simulink models. MATLAB is used as the graphical front-end. The MATLAB GUI and special S-function give you flexibility to view and change signals and parameters. Special extensions for Simulink and Simulink Coder help to build real-time applications for the Windows 95/98 and Windows NT operating systems. To obtain full functionality, use an RT-DAC multi I/O board with RT-CON as it provides an interface to digital and analog signals.

The applications and hardware drivers available in RT-CON facilitate the control experiments for the following laboratory plants: digital servo, inverted pendulum model, helicopter model, magnetic levitation system and time-delayed process trainer. The RT-CON software was designed for educational equipment offered by the Feedback Instruments Ltd. but it can be used in any laboratory application. RT-CON creates a complete environment for teaching advanced aspects of control. It is suitable for controlling models of industrial processes, multi-DOF robots, and mechatronic systems. It is also a perfect tool for research laboratories involved in designing and implementing real-time data acquisition or control experiments.
